"Running through hell, heaven can wait."

A completely lost college student who is trying to make sense of it all on the internet.

Healthy, Fit, Music....and some other things, too.

Ask me anything...it's fun and free!

Land of the free home of the rich

What really scares me is that they all have significantly cheaper health care AND education, which means Americans not only make the least, they pay the most.

…wait, what?

Yup.

What’s really sad is that the average cost of medical school in Australia is $9000/year. In the US, it’s $20,000-40,000 with some schools topping out at $75,000 a year. Nursing school in the US can cost $50,000-100,000 for four years and $50,000+ for a master’s degree. Our country is facing a huge crisis in primary care and all our universities care about is making money. Things need to change. Medicare and Medicaid barely reimburse for services and there are so many indigents, those with commercial insurance eat the cost.

What’s even worse is apperantly from popular opinion all of us from 20-35 are money hungry, lazy as fuck, useless wastes of space who are asking too much when we exclaim that we LEGIT can’t make it on our own. That we NEED roommates or financial aids or food stamps.
But we’re just lazy you guys.

Oh I know! Nothing pisses me off more than Baby Boomers saying “oh, those self absorbed Millenials, taking selfies and living in their parent’s basement. Like hello…. the cost of college has increased over 1000% in the past two decades. We no longer have high paying, low skilled jobs like working at the auto plant. Everything has been outsourced to other countries where they pay them 0.25$ a day. Our government has let this happen, providing tax breaks to huge companies. And they wonder why we are bitter.
